STUDIO SNOWPUPPE

Studio Snowpuppe is comprised of the Netherlands-based duo, industrial designer Kenneth Veenenbos and architect Nelliana van den Baard, along with their cats June and Ayla. (You know to expect some fun when pets are included in the intro :)) They have an entire range of the most incredible folded-paper light fixtures with geometric patterns, what they design and make by hand. BALANCING BLOCKS

How I love these beautiful Balancing Blocks designed by Fort Standard. The ten salvaged hardwood game pieces are handcrafted and made of reclaimed wood and non-toxic finish, available in subtle off-white and primary colors. Great as sculptural pieces and toys for the kids, a win-win situation for everyone!

MATCH ME ROBOTS

The classic game of Memory has finally gone "green".  Instead of flimsy paper that's easy to lose, Apple n Amos used circles of smooth wood, which make the game a keepsake for generations. Wooden discs are small enough to bring anywhere yet large enough for your child to handle. A great road trip and camping activity for the summer holidays! Available on Etsy.

ANIMAL POCKET KNIFE

Supposedly you have just pulled out a pocket knife, but this knife doesn’t cut, file or tweeze. It tells stories instead. With the Animal Pocket Knife, you can put together up to 81 different combinations such as Giraffe, Antelope and a Rhino. The tools are made from stainless steel and the handles are made from fine Tabebuia wood to symbolize the traditional craft. Designer David Suhami’s Animal Pocket Knife makes a great gift for older, nature-loving kids. Sadly it’s not available for sale yet.
